Could you imagine being attacked by a 300 pound beast. That is what happen to Cole. Obviously I haven't been attacked by a bear and probably never will be. But I have seen a bear up close and it was very nerve racking. I don't understand why Cole ever thought that he could kill the bear, if I was him I would have stayed well clear of the bear. When I saw the bear my first reaction was to run away from it, luckily I was in a group of people so it was not as frightening. I think if I was going to fight a bear, I would want more dangerous weapons then a makeshift spear and a knife. Don't bring a knife to a bear fight.

Great work! I really enjoyed reading this blog. I liked how you compared this to stuff that happened to you in real life. Im looking forward to your next blog!
ReplyDeleteI love the picture of the bear it really relates to the story and your job as the connector. I remember seeing a spirit bear in Alaska and it was to spooky for me so leaped back into my tent and waited it out while my uncle shot gunshots into the air to scare it off (he actually killed it)

ReplyDeleteSean, great connections to the novel. Maybe try and add some specific text that you connected to the most. The sections that got you most interested in avoiding a bear attack.
